Prolific Tweeter and former Minister for Education and Minister for Solid Minerals Oby Ezekwesilly proclaimed to her 397,000 followers: “The Elite Class which has received the best privileges that Nigeria could offer have ended up DESPISING & DESTROYING it the most. #SHAME!”
The Bring Back Our Girls spokeswoman must have forgotten that she is part of the “Elite Class” and was part of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government of Olusegun Obasanjo that contributed significantly in destroying Nigeria from 1999 to 2007.
One response to her tweet said: “You and your crooked mentor Obasanjo are part of the destroyers”.
Ezekwesilly does not have a single achievement to her name in her time as head of the Budget Monitoring and Price Intelligence Unit and two stints as minister in two different ministries as her boss Obasanjo raped and pillaged the country of resources that should have been spent on development. One of its worst excesses was the $16bn spent on power projects as power with nothing to show for it and no tangible improvement in power supply.
